New Year’s Eve was just too much fun We went downtown for the big street party. They had music on the riverfront stage, with the main act, Lynyrd Skynyrd. They rocked this town at midnight, let me tell you! We didn’t get home until almost 4:00 am. Today is going to be slow and easy – I am so glad I don’t have to work until Wednesday!

It seems that Willie Nelson has been old, wrinkled and long haired my entire life. I seriously remember hearing his songs as a little kid and seeing his picture on the record albums. He has always looked like this and he has always sounded the same, too. His style of playing guitar and singing is very distinctive. I think it is very cool that he is not all that great a vocalist, yet he is a living legend in the music industry. Yes, I’m a fan. Meeting him some day would be an historic moment for me.

One of the classic songs that everyone has heard at least a few times by the time they turn 20 years old is Greensleeves. I have always thought it was a pretty song, a little sad, and for some reason turns up on a lot of Christmas music albums.

To be honest, I never really knew what the song was about. I could not recite any of the lyrics to this if you paid me big money to do it. So I decided to look it up on the internet. Wow. I had no idea and now I wonder how many other songs I have heard all my life that I have no real clue as to what they are about?

The radio in my car has preset buttons to go right to your favorite radio stations. I like one local station and my significant other prefers a different station, So we let the driver of the vehicle have the choice as to which station we listen to. I’m not sure that is the most fair way to do it, but I would actually rather have no radio on at all then to listen to the rap and hip hop garbage that she likes. Seriously.
